Gable Roof Mount

Gable roof mount for attaching the weathervane to the roof gable.  Mounting plate made from 12 Gauge steel with 4 mounting holes to screw into roof gable facia.  Horizontal pipe MIG welded to vertical pipe.  Vertical pipe is 9″ and terminates with a 1″ threaded connection.  Included is a 1″ coupling for joining the weathervane base to the gable mount.  Customer required to supply 4 – 1/4 x 2″ or longer lag bolts.   Using the American Wood Council calculator (Design calculator) a very conservative estimate for the pullout strength is 245 pounds per lag bolt.  You can also view my testing of the welded connections here.  Mount is powder coated black for a long lasting finish.
